Happy 1st Day of Fall

“Fall has always been my favorite season.  The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale”.  – Lauren Destefano

This morning while I was driving my daughter to school and running a few errands, I was absolutely delighted to notice that the trees have started to show signs of the season, their leaves exploding with bright pinkish reds, orange, and golden yellow leaves.  Even with the hays in the distance, curling around the base of the nearly bare mountains, it looked like fall.  The crisp morning air and my heated steering wheel are evidence that the seasons are changing.

For me, there is something extra special about Autumn, the cooling of the weather, sweet treats and savory soups, cheering on your favorite college football team, pumpkin patches, and of course, the beauty displayed on the tree branches all around.  This season is full of potential and possibility.

One of the truly remarkable attributes of fall is that it reminds me of how beautiful change can be.  We often get so comfortable in the known that the idea of change can be scary.  A few years ago, I experienced some huge changes that began to peak in the fall.  It was during that time that I had to travel from Bend up to Portland several times, and I came to love the drive; it was breathtaking, the mountains, the winding river, the evergreen trees but most of all, the lessons that God taught me on the drive with the glorious display of fall colors on the trees and bushes from the roadside up the hillsides and along the river.  I was reminded that change, growth, and transition are beautiful.

Fall is a time of change and growth, as evidenced by the new school year starting.  And over the past few years for myself, it is a reminder of some of the biggest changes and growth that I have experienced in my life.  It has been difficult and beautiful all at the same time.  So it feels so fitting that today would be the day that I relaunch my blog and website; Finding Beauty with Genevieve  https://genevievemwilliams.com/

Over the past few years, what started as a way to share that I had cancer and give updates on my journey turned into a little dream, passion, and purpose.  Beauty.  These past years I have dug deep; I have learned and grown, failed, and started over, failed and started over again.  Now here I am, walking out this Beautiful life, this beautiful dream, and the purpose of creating my beautiful life and helping you discover your own personal brand of beauty in your own life.  I am excited about this next chapter of growth, failures, and successes.  I am scared and excited to share it with you.  I hope this space and my journey of learning and developing my own personal brand of beauty inspires and encourages you.  All of it, the messy, imperfect, vulnerable, wild, and wonderful.

I hope that my brand of beauty: my health journey, bubbles, home decor, clean beauty, personal growth and mindset, charcuterie boards, coffee, stranger things release parties (yes, I did a stranger things party for my kids when the new season came out, complete with decor) inspires you to discover your talents, gifts, and passions. Most of all, I hope this is a place where you belong, where you feel valued, and most of all, where you feel seen, known, and loved.

I am nervous and anxious. To be transparent, I feel a little inadequate to be here sharing with you, but most of all, I feel called to be here, and I am excited to take this wild and wonderful ride with you.  Happy Fall, my friend. May it be BEAUTIFUL.

Wonderful! Thank you for sharing your gifts. Transitions, even seasonal have been hard for me, particularly end of summer. I love what you say about fall and change! Looking forward to more inspirations!
